"The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints held its annual worldwide day of service on April 26th. This year, its member, Friends of the Murphy RiverWalk volunteers, and Johnny and Pam Strong, owners of Hanging Dog Nursery, gathered to increase the beauty of the of the RiverWalk. The nursery donated many plants, bushes, trees, along with mulch. Everyone worked hard planting, mulching and clearing underbrush. The work party gardened all morning and ate lunch at the old stone gym pavilioin along the river. Lunch was provided by women of the church."
