From Brother and Sister Collier: May 17, 2014 was a big day for many of the members of the Asheville stake. We hosted a Family History Fair that day from 9:00 AM to 4 PM where many details about the family history work were learned and covered. Many of the classes were broadcasts sent to us from the Roots Tech conference in Salt Lake City. We also had 13 live classes taught by specialists both from nearby places and as far away as Northern Virginia. Much good information was received and absorbed. The classes included information about the Old Buncombe County Genealogical Society, the use of DNA in genealogy, finding the women on your family tree and many other helpful topics. One gentleman said,” I came early and there was hardly anyone there, but as the hour approached the room filled up .” We thank everyone who helped.
